Second Semester:
METC (Feb. 10) and MASL (Apr. 19) Presentation - 21st Century Library Tech Tools, Part 2
Katie Pendleton, Kim Wren and myself presented tech tools for librarians and teachers at METC and MASL. We each shared two of our favorite tech tools. I shared my work with Lauren Brauss and Webspiration and Middlespot (a bookmarking site). SWM Lunch Round Table (May 6) What is Web 2.0?
I began the Round Table with a discussion on Web 2.0 and what it is, then Lauren Brauss and I presented an application of Web 2.0 in the classroom; our collaborative religions Webspiration project. See files for Webspiration on the Front Page.
First Semester:
Professional Development Day (Oct. 90) Blogs and Wikis
I gave the presenation to two different groups. The presentation time was 45 minutes. Attached is the PPT and handout given to participants. I also used Jog the Web to show examples of blogs and wikis. BlogsWikis - SER.ppt Blogs and Wikis.doc
SWM Lunch Round Table (Dec. 09) 21st Century Learning and Teaching, What is it?
Kim Lindskog (TIS) and I lead a round table discussion on 21st Century learning and teaching. To begin we opened with questioning the staff about their understanding of 21st Century concepts. We posed the question, What does 21st Century learning and teaching mean to you? Much of the dicussion revolved around technology. We then colloboratively presented the 21st Century Standards stopping to allow teachers to share their examples of how they encourage the standards we where presenting. I had on display many magazine with 21st Century concepts on them, as well as, our AASL standards. We concluded by offering our expertise in the area of 21st Century Teaching.
